Fiddlehead Creek is run by husband and wife team Chris and Emily DeBolt. Emily is originally a southerner from Richmond, VA, while Chris is from Livonia, NY – a small town south of Rochester. They met in college at Cornell University and then attended SUNY-ESF together for master’s degrees. In 2006 they moved to the area for Emily to take a position with the Lake George Association, where she is still currently employed. Chris worked at Washington County for a while in the planning department, in the NYS Legislature as Chief of Staff for Assemblyman Tony Jordan, and is now back in the planning department at the County. They welcomed their first son Carter to the Fiddlehead Creek family in 2013.
Emily and Chris are both Certified Nursery Landscape Professionals (CNLP) through the New York State Nursery and Landscape Association and are Directors for Region 3.
Emily was selected as the 2012 recipient of the New York Native Plant Conservationist of the Year by the New York Flora Association.
